Welcome to Swords Sailing & Boating Club (SSBC)

Swords Sailing & Boating Club is located on the beautiful Broadmeadow Estuary in Malahide Co. Dublin. Less than a mile from the M1 and only 9 miles from Dublin City Centre.

The estuary is sheltered and not really affected by the tide which enables sailing at anytime of the day in a relatively safe environment.

The club is Managed on a volunteer elected committee basis. It is family friendly and runs an extensive sailing programme for both adults and children.

Organised club sailing starts.

  • March, after St Patrick’s Day

Club closes.

  • End of November.

See calendar for full details of our sailing programme. Note: Updated in Feb/March for the coming season.

New members are always welcome. If you would like to talk to someone about becoming a member, then come down to the club on club racing days and introduce yourself, someone will point you in the right direction.

New members can avail of our intro to sailing run over 3 evenings in June. (Note: Check Calendar for actual  dates)
